thatโs a wrap!
Last night ERD wrapped up their 2024 Skate Camp with a bang! Yesterday friends, family, volunteers, and skaters gathered to celebrate our new members at our end-of-camp scrimmage.
These skadies have graduated, and are officially ready to hit the track wearing Erie Roller Derby colors! Just wait until you see them on the track next year. Prepare to be blown away!
ERd says goodbye to the 2024 season
Erie Roller Derby said farewell to the 2024 skating season with a spooky themed double header against the Dolls of Destruction from Elmira, NY, and the Paranormal Posse from Pittsburgh, PA.
First, the Eerie Roller Ghouls took on the Dolls of Destruction in what would be a nail biter of a game! In the end the Ghouls were able to pull out a close win!
ERDโs second roster the Lake Erie Monsters hit the track versus the Paranormal Posse. It was hard hitting game, and the Paranormal Posse took home the win.
Weโd like to take a moment to thank the fans, volunteers, refs, NSOs, and visiting teams that helped make our 2024 season incredible. We canโt wait to show you the great bouts weโre cooking up for 2025!
2024 Blue collar brawl
Erie All-Stars travelled to Triadelphia, WV to take part in the 2024 Blue Collar Brawl, a three-day tournament hosted by Ohio Valley Roller Derby. The All-Stars battled it out in bracketed play, winning 1 and losing 2 hard-fought and intense games, ultimately placing 5th out of 8 teams.
ERD had the opportunity to meet some tough and amazing opponents over the three-day weekend, making derby friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. We anticipate playing these folks again in the future!
We are wrapping up our 2024 season with our home closer on October 26th! Itโs a special double header with spooky themed teams! Donโt miss your last opportunity to cheer on your favorite ERD skaters - get your tickets online here!
ERDโS AUGUST DOUBLE HEADER
This weekend ERD played two hard-fought bouts against Pittsburgh Roller Derbyโs ZomBees and The Misfit Roller Reapers from Clearfield, PA.
Erie Roller Derbyโs All-Stars took to the track first versus the ZomBees. ERD didnโt bring home the win, but we are extremely grateful to the ZomBees for visiting! This was our first experience playing a MRDA (Menโs Roller Derby Association) team, and our skaters are hooked!
Next ERDโs Bayfront Bombshells went up against The Misfit Roller Reapers. After some hard hits and technical gameplay, the Reapers were able to take the W. This was our Bombshells second home bout and they learned SO much from our friends on the Reapers.
Thank you again to our refs, NSOs, volunteers and medical staff! Derby truly takes a village.
A special shout out to Pinky and Carnage, who came from their home leagues to work with our own Rusty-Wheelz with the commentary for both bouts!
Weโre less than two weeks away from ERDโs very first home tournament! Grab your tickets here and join us for a day filled with derby goodness!
2024 home opener pride bout
We kicked off our 2024 home season with a double header, taking on Steel Cityโs Blitzburgh Bombers and Chemical Valley Roller Derby.
ERD All-Stars took home a commanding victory over the Bombers - and not only did they take home the W, they also had an opportunity to catch up with ERD alums Shame and Snarko!
ERDโs Bayfront Bombshells took the track for their very first home game, facing off vs Chemical Valley out of Charleston, WV. The game was neck and neck, back and forth, with tons of hard hits and amazing action! Chemical Valley came out on top at the final whistle but the Bombshells left it all out on the track. We are incredibly proud of how our new skaters have grown this season!
Thank you once again for all of the officials, volunteers, and safety personnel that made derby happen!

ERD All-Stars hit the road again for the second game of the 2024 season, taking on Roc City Roller Derbyโs B-Sides.

FRESH MEAT SCRIMMAGE ACTION
Fifteen of Erieโs freshest skaters were joined by a handful of other newbies from our region for a fun day of beginner roller derby!
They took to the track like theyโve been skating for years, demonstrating amazing track awareness and spectacular footwork! You wouldnโt have known these folks were as fresh as they are if we didnโt tell you!
It was a hard-fought battle, with tons of learning and fun being had and in the end, Team White came out victorious!
This event could not have happened without the help of our officials crew, volunteers, and safety personnel. Thank you for making derby happen!

ERIE ROLLER DERBY HITS THE ROAD
On April 2, Erie Roller Derby traveled to Pottsville, PA to take on Schuylkill County Scream Queens. For the first time since 2019, ERD fielded not one, but two whole teams, with the ERD Bombshells making their debut appearance. After two hard-fought games, both ERD teams fell to the hard-hitting Scream Queens and Queen Bโs. While we didnโt take home a win, we had an incredible time playing against some great people.
